WINDSURFING SCHOOL

Our school offers windsurfing courses for beginners and experts on Riells Beach in L’Escala, Girona.

Whether you’re a newcomer or an advanced windsurfer, at Funtastic you’ll find all you need to enjoy the sport in the conditions that are right for you: equipment rental, private classes or group courses for all ages and levels.

COURSES AND RENTALS

The windsurfing classes consist of sessions lasting one and a half hours, except for the first session, which lasts two hours. Depending on wind strength and the weight and level of each individual, the boards are equipped with rigs for sails measuring between 1.5 and 6 m2, according to the pupil’s needs. In order to consolidate their learning, pupils can purchase multi-session passes in order to continue practising on their own. As you progress, we’ll take you beyond the protection of Riells Cove, heading towards the centre of the Gulf of Roses, where the conditions for windsurfing and sailing sports in general are simply unbeatable. Once you’ve grasped the basics of windsurfing you’ll be ready to enjoy one of the most rewarding water sports.
If you’re already an advanced windsurfer, you can rent a board and sail and enjoy the activity on your own. We’ll monitor you as you get going just to check that everything is fine. If you’re already an expert, the time of day with the best wind for windsurfing is between 12 noon and 5 pm. You can rent equipment by the hour or purchase a multi-session pass and use it up at your own pace during your stay at L’Escala.

• Pupil has to be able to swim.
• No previous experience necessary.
• Includes: life jacket, harness and/or neoprene suit if necessary, helmet (optional), windsurf board and sail, and compulsory third-party (CTP) insurance.
• First-party insurance cover is not included.
• What you need to bring: swimming costume, towel and lycra rash shirt.
